What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep,” is a powerful guided meditation technique that induces deep physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Unlike traditional meditation, Yoga Nidra brings you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, where the body is completely at rest, but the mind remains gently aware.

Rooted in ancient yogic traditions, Yoga Nidra systematically guides you through layers of consciousness, helping release stress, tension, and deeply held emotions. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting healing and restoring balance.

A typical session may involve:

Setting an intention (Sankalpa)
Body scan for deep relaxation
Breath awareness
Visualisations or guided journeys

Just 30–45 minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel as restorative as hours of deep sleep. It’s suitable for all levels and can be especially beneficial for those dealing with anxiety, insomnia, or burnout.

Yoga Nidra is not about doing, it’s about being. It offers a sanctuary of stillness in a fast-paced world, reconnecting you to a sense of inner calm and clarity.

I offer 1:1 and group sessions.
